Just like the dedicated members of the greater Charleston Area Fire Departments, the most important thing we do at Charleston Animal Society is save lives. We are honored to partner with our community’s heroes for the 5th installment of our calendar. All net proceeds from Charleston Firefighter Calendar benefit Toby’s Fund, Charleston Animal Society’s medical fund.

Who was Toby? Toby was a beautiful Golden Retriever mix who came to Charleston Animal Society years ago suffering from chemical burns over a large portion of his body. Despite his dire condition, our medical team could see the fight in his eyes and proceeded with weeks of intense treatment. He bounced back stronger than ever and was quickly adopted by a loving family. His story inspired us all, just like so many of the other animals that now benefit from the fund named in his honor. Toby’s Fund provides the medical care necessary to treat injured, abused, neglected and abandoned animals.

Charleston Animal Society is able to continue treating thousands of difficult cases like Toby’s each year because of the selfless firefighters in our community that give so willing of their time and energy to our largest fundraising project! You can be part of saving thousands of abused and abandoned animals in our community. Fill out the application below to get started!
